Development Alliance - A site selector's portal for community information. Find up-to-date site selection information about every U.S. state, county, metro area and micropolitan quickly and easily. Most of the information is current as of 2005 and comes from proprietary sources as well as from the U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis and the U.S. Department of Labor.
Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development - In 1993, recognizing the need for a private-public partnership to promote Massachusetts as a place to do business, a consortium of the state's utility and telecommunications companies, real estate associations, and a public sector partner, the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, founded the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development. The Alliance's founding was an outgrowth of recommendations made by the Governor's Council on Economic Growth & Technology, a body of civic and business leaders which advised Governor Weld on issues relating to the competitiveness of Massachusetts.
They offer the following services: Site Finder Service, Research and Information Service, Massachusetts Ambassadors, and Programming and Education.
Massachusetts Export Center - The mission of the Massachusetts Export Center is to help companies throughout the Commonwealth achieve success in global markets, thereby contributing to economic growth in the state.
Massachusetts Site Finder - MassEcon’s statewide Site Finder Service is an economic development resource for companies seeking a Massachusetts location. MassEcon works cooperatively with real estate brokers, site location consultants, and state, regional, and local economic development officials to enable companies and their exclusive agents to access property information that matches their real estate needs. The Massachusetts Site Finder was developed through a partnership between the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development, a member of the Massachusetts Business Resource Team.
State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance - The State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance (SOMWBA) is an agency within the Massachusetts Department of Business Development (DBD) which promotes the development of certified minority business enterprises (MBE), women owned (WBE) business enterprises, and minority non-profit (M/NPO) and women (W/NPO) non-profit organizations. It does this by facilitating their participation in Massachusetts business and economic development opportunities. Specifically, SOMWBA offers services in certification, enforcement, business assistance and advocacy.
